What the numbers are
License hours, fees and exam details are transcribed from state board pages and labelled with how far we verified them (“Verified from the board”, “Board page checked”, “Research-seeded, not yet verified”). Pay figures are BLS OEWS survey estimates and employer-stated posting ranges, never a promise of what you will be paid. Apprenticeship windows and test dates are reproduced only when the sponsor published them; a null is shown as a null. Boards change fees, sponsors move windows, and we may lag. The changelog shows what we caught and when.
Reuse
The datasets on /data are published under CC BY 4.0: copy, share and build on them with attribution to TradeOnRamp and, ideally, the row's own source_url. Page text and layout are ours; quote with a link. Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people — the CSV and JSON exports exist so you do not have to.
Employer posts and claims
Postings and shop profiles are free. By submitting one you confirm the pay ranges and details are true for your shop today, and you allow us to publish them with the “employer-stated” label. We remove postings 14 days after they disappear from your site and may remove anything misleading at any time. We do not rank shops or sponsors by what they pay us; see the disclosure.
No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided as-is. Downshift does not warrant that any figure is current or complete and is not liable for decisions made on it — a wrong fee, a missed window, a job that did not work out. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the site is zero, because you never paid us anything.
Changes, law, contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top moves when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. TradeOnRamp is operated by Downshift; reach us at data@tradeonramp.com. Privacy is covered here.
