About
Seekers do not have a job-search problem — Indeed has that. They have a “how do I get in, what does it pay in my city, and which door do I knock on” problem, and the pages that answer it today are undated trade-school lead farms and software-vendor blogs that punt licensing to “check your local department.” TradeOnRamp is the on-ramp: the entry path per state, every sponsor we can find per metro, the pay ladder, and who is hiring this week — dated, cited, kept current.
Who
TradeOnRamp is built and operated by Downshift, the team behind The Job Numbers (the contractor's money site). The voice we aim for is a journeyman explaining it to a 19-year-old on a phone, or a 34-year-old leaving an office job.
The rules
- Seekers never pay. Not for the data, not for alerts, not for a placement.
- Every fact row has a source URL and a verification date; every change is public.
- No school, sponsor or employer is ranked by what it pays us. Where we earn a referral fee it is disclosed on the page.
- Pay estimates are anchored on the survey of record (BLS OEWS) and never presented as a job's own salary.
- Listings expire. A closed job is removed within 14 days and answers HTTP 410.
